Terms & Conditions

I. Order Processing Orders on are processed within 24 hours of being received Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. PST with the exception of holidays. Orders received on Saturday or Sunday or on holidays will be processed on the following business day.

II. Payments Accepted Light Trader accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. A matching billing address is required for all credit card transactions. Light Trader will obtain a prepayment for your order total upon completion of your order on the web site. A matching V-Code is also required for all credit card transactions. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, the V-Code is the last three (3) digits located on the back of the card. For American Express, it is the four (4) or five (5) digit code located on the front of the card.

III. Return Policy Items purchased on Light Trader may be returned for a full refund if the items are returned within 30 days of the purchase and are in the unopened original packaging. All Returns require an RMA Number in order to be processed.  Returned Items received without an RMA number will not be processed or shipped back.  Please complete a Return Mechandise Authorization Request on our Returns Page (you must have a Log In Username and Password to complete this process).  Light Bulbs, Tapes, Aerosols, Books, and Software may NOT be returned. All sales on these items are final. A 20% restocking fee may apply on any returned item that is opened from the original packaging and in new and sellable condition. Light Trader retains the right to evaluate and refuse any returned item. All returned items require prior authorization from a Light Trader Customer Service Associate. Please call 818-408-4444 for authorization. Special Order items may not be returned unless authorized by a Light Trader Customer Service Associate. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy and completeness of any order received. If you have a product shortage, please call us immediately at 818-408-4444. Any product shortages reported after 3 business days of order delivery may not be honored. All shipments of orders should be inspected thoroughly. If an item is received damaged or any damage is suspected at the time of delivery, refuse the delivery. If an item is found to have damage after the delivery has been made, report it to the freight carrier immediately. If freight damage has occurred, request a freight damage report and a pick up of the damaged item from the carrier. Please call us 818-408-4444 to report any damaged items within 3 business days. We will do our best to assist you with your damage claim.

IV. Product Availability The stock status of an item is updated once a day at the close of business. Light Trader does not guarantee the stock status of an item. If you are placing an order and require immediate shipment, please call us at 818-408-4444 to insure that the item is in stock and available. Backordered items may be purchased on Light Trader. We will ship the item as soon as we receive our stock replenishment. If a backordered item becomes unavailable from the manufacturer, we will refund your money on that item. If you have questions on backorder times, please call us at 818-408-4444. Special Order items must be ordered by phone. Please call us at 818-408-4444 to purchase a Special Order item.

V. Shipping & Options Shipping options for Light Trader are UPS Ground, UPS 3rd Day Select, UPS 2nd Day, and UPS Overnight. Light Trader is not responsible for delays in transit and does not guarantee delivery dates. Shipments can sometimes be delayed during the holiday seasons and busier times of the year. UPS will NOT ship to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a physical address other than a P.O. Box to complete your transaction. Signature is required for all shipments. If you wish to release signature requirements, you assume all risk of loss. Please call us at 818-408-4444 to arrange a signature release. APO and FPO Addresses may be submitted. You are responsible for any applicable customs, handling fees, and inventory liability. Insurance is recommended for any items that are returned.

VI. Sales Tax Orders shipped in or to the state of California are subject to sales tax. Sales tax will be calculated based on the shipping address and the current sales tax rate. If you would like to place an order on behalf of a tax exempt organization or individual, please call 818-408-4444 to place your order over the phone and be prepared to provide proof of tax exempt status for the state in which the order will be shipped. Special Order items that are drop shipped from the manufacturer may be subject to sales tax.

VII. Product Warranties  All products purchased on Light Trader are supported by and covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Light Trader does not offer and any additional warranty other than those provided by the manufacturer unless otherwise stated. Used Equipment may be covered by our 90-Day Used Equipment Limited Warranty.  Please check product listing for warranty eligibilty.  Items are checked before leaving our warehouse to ensure proper functionality.  Light Trader guarantees functionality as stated for each used item for a perid of 90 days from purchase.  Warranty does not cover misuse, mishandling, physical damage, or damage caused by water, fire, lightning, or any act of God.  Buyer is responsible for shipping boths ways for any warranty claim.  Please call for an RMA before returning any equipment for service.  

VIII. Web Site Content Light Trader is not responsible for typographical errors. Light Trader reserves the right to cancel any order you have placed if there was a typographical error on the Light Trader web site concerning pricing or availability of any item that you ordered. Light Trader does not guarantee that the graphic representation, i.e. photograph, illustration, or diagram, of an item is true and accurate to that item. Light Trader does not guarantee color, size, or any other physical or functional attribute as represented on by these graphic representations. All of the content on Light Trader is the property of Acey Decy Lighting and may not be used, duplicated, or published without the expressed written consent of Acey Decy Lighting.

IX. Privacy Policy Light Trader will not sell or rent any personal information about our customers to any third party. Light Trader takes the protection and proper use of your personal information seriously. We respect your privacy and take great care to safeguard information in our possession. We may, however, share the name, address and/or e-mail address of our customers who have requested that their names be added to our mailing list with reputable third parties for the purpose of executing our mailing list program. Those third parties may provide services such as mailing information about our products and promotions, managing customer information, providing customer service and conducting market research. We do not authorize those third parties to make any other use of your information or to send you unsolicited mail. In addition, with your prior consent, we may share names and addresses from our mailing list with carefully chosen marketing partners. We may also share aggregated statistical or demographic information with third parties in a manner that does not reveal our customer's personal identity.

X. Other Terms and Conditions Light Trader reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale of Light Trader, or any affiliated web site, at any time. Light Trader may make changes to any products or services offered, or to the applicable prices for any product or service at any time. Light Trader makes no commit to update the information provided by Light Trader with respect to the products and services offered. Light Trader reserves the right to do any of the following at any time, without notice: (1) to modify, suspend or terminate operation of or access to Light Trader, or any portion of Light Trader at any time (2) to modify or change Light Trader, or any portion of Light Trader, and any applicable policies and terms. (3) to interrupt the operation of Light Trader, or any portion of Light Trader, as necessary to perform routine or non-routine maintenance, error corrections, or other changes. To the extent of the law, all sales at Light Trader are governed by California Law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
